As Associate Partner at Reacfin, Jean delivers Debt & Equity capital market advises, helping clients for managing capital structure, solvency and liquidity and for structuring & issuing capital instruments. He also assists institutional investors for strategy & market risks topics.
Jean is the former General Manager Capital & Funding at Fortis (2000 – 2010).
He has structured various capital instruments and has led more than EUR 30 billion capital raising transactions worldwide. He has been involved at senior level in M&A deals for more than EUR 40 billion.
Jean started his banking career in 1991 as trader in derivatives at Paribas Belgium (1991-1998), before joining ABN Amro Belgium from 1998 to 2000.
Jean holds a MSc in Economics (1989) and a Master in Law (1988) from UCLouvain (Belgium); he also got a certificate in Machine Learning from Stanford University (2020).got
